Our founder Beverley Beckford has over 20 years’ experience in Financial Services and Law, and over 10 years in Dispute Resolution. She is a qualified barrister in England and Wales, and Barbados, advising clients in both jurisdictions.
Resolving Disputes
In choosing to mediate the parties are in control of the outcome, and it can cost less than going to court. It offers a flexible approach, enabling parties to reach mutually beneficial agreements without the adversarial nature of traditional litigation. Blayne Beckford Law is an impartial third party adept at helping all parties communicate effectively to peaceably resolve disputes.
Our role is to try and get all parties to reach a successful settlement agreement, which is not always possible. If we are successful, a settlement agreement is provided else a summary, and an ‘attempt to mediate’ certificate will be issued. We will also provide an ‘attempt to mediate’ certificate, if it hasn’t been possible to secure a mediation appointment.
Beverley works to bring calm and balance to difficult communications. With her years of experience and business expertise, she is able to build the confidence and trust of clients and individuals. She always works to deliver the highest standards in a timely manner in line with our core values.
