Transforming Lives for Good (TLG)
The Christian national children’s charity, Transforming Lives for Good (TLG), helps over 5,000 children a year struggling with emotional distress and food insecurity – by partnering with 200 churches across the UK. We run 10,000 1:1 coaching sessions a year in schools, and serve 100,000 meals a year – all through local churches. We help churches bring hope and a future to struggling children who are facing heart-breaking challenges.
Transforming Lives for Good is confident in the difference that churches of all shapes and sizes can make in their own communities. Our team of pioneers use their expertise to enable and equip local churches, to see the lives of children transformed.

Transforming Lives for Good At Work
From trauma to poverty and food insecurity, there are children across the UK facing some of the toughest starts in life. We run programmes which are effective in making an extraordinary difference in the lives of children.
Early Intervention – One Coach, One Child, One Hour a Week
All over the UK, children are struggling for all kinds of reasons, and many families are suffering without hope. Transforming Lives for Good Early Intervention gives churches a practical solution to support children, families, and schools in their community. Through this programme churches are transforming lives by delivering over 10,000 coaching sessions each year in schools. Our programmes also connect children and families to the long term support of their local church. Because trauma is not a quick fix.
Make Lunch – Community, Belonging and Meals that Matter:
With 4.3 Million children growing up in poverty in the UK, there is huge need to provide hot food in the holidays, when the free school meals stop. But social isolation is also crippling these children, who are unable to join in the activities of those around them and make friends. This is where the local church can provide a huge welcome, activities, support and fun – as well as the hot food. TLG’s Make Lunch programme equips and mobilises local churches to create safe, welcoming spaces to offer nutritious meals, fun activities and friendships for children and families.
